Truckers is a Helluva' Brand Name. Especially for a Team Hubbed at a Doubt.

Is that portable enough of a team name for you?
I mean, when the Grizzlies moved from Vancouver to the state where Gatlinburg is, no big deal.
Remember when the Titans were the Tennessee Oilers for a bit still?

Truckers.
That's some apparel sales if I've ever heard of 'em.
Nifty name for an Indianapolis based MLB squad.
Or a Portland Canadian Football League team.

Another apparel bland brand name I've mentioned before is Fishermen.  Good NHL name down south.  And Bootleggers for some southern MLS brand.

On and on.

Big League Expansion Teams in Canada. MLB, NFL, NBA and Yep

Let's say that if there were an NBA or MLB team to return to Canada, the deal would be that two medium sized facilities be built, or something adequate be in place part-time (like BC Place in Vancouver) in the two obvious vacancies, being Montreal and Vancouver.

40 Major League games on the diamond could be played at the home camp in each of those Canadian metropolises.   You get the idea.  Maybe 35k seat ballyards.  What about splitting time for a Canadian NFL team between some CFL towns?  Would those not be big ratings for the nation and these leagues?  Apparel much?

And what would be a good name for such a(n essentially) national team?  Vancouver-Montreal Whatevers doesn't have a ring to it, not anything like the Kansas City-Omaha Kings of Ago.
But Canada might sound a little too Olympicky too.

But I'll tell you my favs:

Canadian Power or Norde Force for the NFL team.
Toronto Canadians wouldn't be bad.  Ontario Legion?

For MLB, it's a no-brainer for me.  The 'Jacks.  The North Country Lumberjacks.

NBA?
Heights?  Flights?  Or Jets?  Skaters?  Northern Lights.
Simply, "Northtown".  Sleep on it.

What about a travel team for the Canadian Outlander settlements (aka. not relatively big towns like Edmonton or Winnepeg, being the likes of Halifax, Saskatoon or Hamilton):

Contraction?

I've heard rumblings, though it hasn't been this year.

In MLB, Tampa is a woeful show.  Miami isn't the greatest trip either.  It is said that maybe it should've stayed the Grapefruit League.  I think the State of Florida should go from having two teams to one again, the Florida Marlins, being the 1997 and 2003 World Series Champs.

They can't split time between the Bay and the Beach, ya' know?!

Make the fish fan hearts grow a little bit fonder for their butts in the home seats.
Anybody else?

I don't know.  Can we get the Nordiques back in Quebec City already???!!!  I mean, c'mon NHL.  Outside of Suburbia Toronto how many more spots can you land in hockey homeland?

Back to baseball.  I think the A's and Rays can relocate instead of disappearing.  Certainly the historical Athletics can't vanish.  I wish they would split cities with Las Vegas.  Maybe even have Portland instead of Oakland as the West Coast A's.

NBA.  Times move faster these days.  Distance decay is super highwayed and world wide webbed, so this link is a very old 4 years old but still:
bleacherreport.com/____nba-why-the-league-should-seriously-consider-contraction  Bobcats are back to Charlotte historical Hornets.

Nope.  It's a place; not a perverse King James thing.
NFL?  Nope.  Jags could be somewhere else if it were contractually feasible.  Think London.  Toronto.  Louisville.  These weekly venues of the football (incl. MLS) have room to grow, especially when the quality of talent does.

Homegrown Cincinnatian for every Red team. Ditto Detroit. And Chicago. New York and....

At least having one player from the area on the team.
Even if said player is a token, IT WOULD BE AWESOME.

Easy for me to say......my team is rebuilding.
Something to cheer about no matter what.  No-booing clause.  Get'em next time, guy!

Which team would set this trend?  Make me proud, Cincinnati.  Always have a Cincinnati kid!  It's not a terrible stretch.  Put our dude on the active roster.  Ride the pine, even if only for show on a Sunday?  That's fine.  Louisville isn't far.  Even if he's a doubler-A'er, he can wear three uni's in a week.  Blue Wahoo to Louisville to Cinci, all in a week.

And yes, we'll take Kyle Schwarber off the Cubbies' hands.  Sounds good to me.

Hearts and minds and hometown heroes.  Davids, Goliaths, gladiators, mercenaries and cheers with beer oh's.
Expand your mind.
