And yes, spread the love.
Cleveland is taken care of, and for all intents and purposes, especially when side-by-sided to Cincinnati, could be in another state anyway. Shots fired!
Columbus and Cinci are obvious choices as landing spots, Dayton and Toledo slightly less so, but no less important.
Preseason, which spans less than 3 weeks, in my opinion and imagination, should take place in Toledo. Holy Toledo. Regular season games should cater to the Cincinnati/Dayton and Columbus markets. Exhibitions can also be played around year to year in the likes of Youngstown to Athens to Portsmouth or Chillicothe.
I would love for there to be a Columbus Fieldhouse if some situation the hockey’s Nationwide isn’t doable. 20 regular season games there, and in Middletown (between Cinci and Dayton) would plant quite a nice flag. Plus, as some sort of compromise to ownership groups wanted everything seemingly completely floated by the taxpayer, multi-venue facilities justify the facts more than does the contemporary situations of the bill footed in the likes of Hamilton County Ohio and the NFL Bengals.
Logo-istically, in addition to multinodal home/camp play, I envision a multi-logo Ohio Aviation brand. The military’s Space Force has snagged the Star Trek, but the “A” with a swoop around dogfighting jet would be nice for the Aces of Aviation. Bomber pre-warm up jackets (individualized). Star fleet fan section. Let your mind take flight on the array logos, perhaps smaller venues, and surrounding entertainment districts, and more inclusive fan buy-in. Flirt it out with a D-G—O or whatever developmental team.
