A team for a time named the New Orleans - Oklahoma City Hornets, due to Hurricane Katrina, became two different teams and Charlotte Hornets again. Now we have the renamed New Orleans Pelicans and an Oklahoma City Thunder (once the Sonics before moving)
As far as moves, for awhile now, we've been hearing about the likes of Jacksonville and Oakland in football. And Tampa Rays and A's in baseball. Some stadium sweating for Arizona on the diamond. Vegas seems to be a movers favorite. Carolina 'Canes are on more permafrost icing. In all, talk is cheap. Chat is cheap. It sells rags.
