Surely more fans of the Ravens live outside of Baltimore than inside it.
Logically, Baltimore is less safe than suburbs. A lot of that has to do with Baltimore being a very ghetto city. Baltimore Orioles could be renamed also. After all, a MLB game was empty as fans were shut out in the name of safety.
Obviously such logic could stand for all urban areas. I would change it for Ravens. No real logic necessary.
What franchises, if any should change over to the state name? Should the Bears be the Chicagoland Bears?
Do you see some cities as especially a dump? Ohio Guardians? Louisiana Saints or Pelicans? Georgia Braves is fewer syllables. Ohio Reds is not. Bias surely plays into what I would do.
It’s cool all the Minnesota teams are state named. Let me do a real quick one for the Big Five. Hot tater:
Maryland Ravens. Florida Marlins. California Clippers. Michigan Red Wings. Club Carolina.
