Portland. Boise. Chicago. Baltimore. Montreal. And maybe another one, like Tampa-St. Pete.
This would definitely alleviate the Nashville-or-Charlotte question.
Nashville’s trip-A team is the Southside Sounds, Charlotte’s the Baltimore Blues
A Montreal rendition and the Southside Chicago stadiums below.
Out west when the Salt Lake Eagles enter MLB, they’ll have their pick of the Portland Potties or Boise Blue Collars for their top farm club. Really, Tampa should give up their club for relocation. That’s the best solution. Start with the Charlotte Rays and a smaller Tampa Devil Rays trip-a park ,dbl-a remaining in downtown Charlotte. Nashville can be the expansion with a farm in Montreal.
Cities that buck for MLB that weren’t really serious about even an MiLB club should shut up. Indianapolis deserves big ball better than Oregon Quebec.
Funny how in ten years time Nashville and Utah take the spotlight away from Oregon and Carolina.
